Thomas Dudley, Jr. is a founding Principal of Gantry’s Southern California operations. He has responsibility for originating mortgage loan and equity investments and managing the company’s Orange County office. He is licensed as a Real Estate Broker in California.


Tom has over 30 years of experience in real estate investment banking. Prior to joining Gantry he served as Senior Vice President with Churchill Mortgage Corporation arranging debt and equity financings for its life insurance company, pension fund and investment banking investors; and prior to that he served in the same capacity with Holliday Fenoglio Fowler as Senior Director.


In 1988 Tom joined Dwyer-Curlett & Co. and was President and Partner with overall responsibility for loan production and investor relationships. Upon relocating to Southern California in 1983 Tom joined First Interstate Mortgage Company as Vice President originating construction and permanent loans together with joint venture and equity placements. His career in real estate finance began immediately upon graduation from college with American Security Bank in Washington, D.C. as Assistant Vice President sourcing construction, interim and long-term financings for the bank and its institutional clients.


Tom holds a BS in Business Administration from Wheeling Jesuit University and has completed graduate work in Real Estate and Urban Development at American University in Washington, D.C. He is active in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).


Tom is a past Chairman of the Board and past President of the California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA).
